Re: Takeshi's Castle Board Game

I'd be happy to help with making it into a flash game that could be put onto a site, but maybe only for one human player against computer opponents, I do not know how it could be made so that multiple people can play against each other in the same game, I've never looked into making a flash game with multiplayer support.

emoticon Actually after having a quick look into it, seeing as it is turn based it should not be too hard.
Example:
Player 1 takes their turn. They roll dice etc (just an easy random selection from pre-determined variables with a nice animation) and get their result. The game records the dice roll and the result, sending the information to Player 2 to be displayed on the game board to them as it has been to player 1. So that both players can see the dice roll and the player's piece being moved and then the result.
You could have a little game lobby where people can make game rooms for a set amount of players, have password protected rooms if you only want to play with certain people etc, obviously a server would be needed to send and receive the data. I would also need help with that seeing as I am not very good with writing code or script that interacts with servers or networks. I don't know how you would make it so that it could be put on other sites either, it might have to be written specifically to use a specific server and that part of code would need to be re-written to use it on other sites if you don't want your server getting filled with traffic from other sites that have the game.

If anyone is interested in doing this in a small team I'd be more than happy to help. Alternatively if you would like to do it on your own there is a pretty good tutorial here: http://playerio.com/documentation/tutorials/building-flash-multiplayer-games-tutorial/ which explains the basics of making a multiplayer flash game. This only really explains the multiplayer aspect so you will need to already know how to make basic point-and-click flash games.

Re: Takeshi's Castle Board Game

We've always wanted a game on the site, so if you could help that would be amazing! However, making games is something I just can't get my head around, however many times I've tried, so unfortunately I wouldn't be much help.

Human against computer players would be fine. I think it'd be unlikely to have more than one person wanting to play at the same time anyway. It'd be much easier to make too, right?

I could help out with graphics, but as far as the actual making is concerned I doubt I'd be of much use.

I can't really help, but it would be amazing to have it as a real game emoticon
