Re: VS Arashi Yes, indeed. True fact that is true. Hand on heart, swear to whichever authority you choose, I had never heard of that song before. Heck, so 'ignorant' am I, I thought the Village People only ever did YMCA and In The Navy, then disappeared. Then Wikipedia tells me that not only is that not true, but those two songs both came AFTER that one...
Glad to know I'm not the only one who got lost trying to keep up with the colours. Should have listened more, and then I would have at least picked up orenji.
Re: VS Arashi There's no orange in the game. I was just saying that you'd probably have heard them say it if it was orange. They're just the regular colours - red, yellow, green and blue.
Re: VS Arashi Yes, I thought you obviously haven't got Village People's Greatest Hits cd like my missus ...which now sits amongst my collection as it's all on the same bookshelf!
...15 (FIFTEEN) tracks on that cd! Including a final track megamix(!) of YMCA, In the Navy, Go West (you'd forgotten that one too!) & Macho Man. Oh and the original and a millenium mix (cd produced in '99) of YMCA, so I'm counting 13 different tracks.
Ha, the liner notes even list the real names of Policeman, Cowboy, Construction Worker, Indian, Leather Man & The GI!
Active from '77-'85 with 3 different Policemen, 2 Cowboys & 2 CWs.
Re: VS Arashi I've spotted Yoshie from the volleyball team in the last episode, in this clip from the Jonathan Ross Show, in which they get Bradley Walsh to read out sports stars' names in homage to the Fanny Chmelar question on The Chase. I don't like laughing at people's names like that. I personally think it's really rude, mean even to poke fun at a perfectly innocent name just because it looks like a dirty word when you read it in English instead of their language. Still, here it is, because, well, Yoshie.
Re: VS Arashi Fanny Chmelar was funny, because it does sound like smeller, but Takeshita doesn't sound like the researcher who found these people hilariously thinks it does. Dick Trickle, however.. Poor man.
I'm amazed that you remembered her from VS Arashi though, I never would have!
