Many people don't like musicals, it seems. Just like many Disney films, High School Musical is more interesting when you ignore the central characters and focus on the supporting cast, who are often better.
YH's version of Mamma Mia is much less cringeworthy than the real thing, especially after I had to sit through an entire bus journey with a little girl elsewhere on the bus singing just the words "Mamma Mia, here I go again", just those words, because presumably she didn't know the rest... Gaagghh! 
That's just reminded me, that's supposedly how they came with the idea for Spider Pig in The Simpsons Movie; it was based on a boy just going "Spider Man, Spider Man, does whatever a Spider Man, Spider Man, does whatever a Spider Man, Spider Man, does whatever a Spider Man, Spider Man..."
The only musicals I've been able to watch all the way through, are Mamma Mia and Calamity Jane, mainly because my mum loves them both, so I've become used to them being on. Oh, God, I'm not gonna be able to sleep now, for singing "I Could Do Without You"!

Haha, yeah little girls and Mamma Mia! My niece (now 13) got bang into that and as a result would go loopy any time any Abba song cam on the radio!   
Resolves: I will never mention YH in anything less than a positive light again or may The Almighty Monkeee God strike me down with His furious vengeance!

You see that quite often in Germany with little kids who don't understand the lyrics of English songs. My little sister was really terrible once.. it was do you... mumble mumble mumble do you... do you...

Codex89 - perfect choice of words (though like Duffers, I had to use Google to remind me what it meant - I had at least known it previously). I was of course mucking about pretending you were all ganging up, but you knew that too. And errmm that not-at-all distrubing pic with the look through the shades and the well placed pillow...........yeah, I'm not invoking the Wrath of Monkeee so I'm saying nothing.......
