Re: Eurovision

9th

It won both popular vote and scoring by dozen international panels (which would've affected total score 50-50).

Re: Eurovision

You know what? IT'S THAT TIME OF THE YEAR AGAIN!

The 2017 Eurovision Song Contest will be held on Kiyv, Ukraine.

Semifinal 1: May, 9th, 8pm (UK time)
Semifinal 2: May, 11th, 8pm (UK time)
Grand Final: May, 13th, 8pm (UK time)

Please have the time to check out crappy song we're sending this year. Won because of the tiebreaker, decided by jury, not by SMS voters who paid €[sign in to see URL] to vote for their favourite song. Have fun!

Re: Eurovision

That's not as bad as the UK's song. Unless it's changed majorly since the selection show then it's dull as. Slow, boring, depressing song and the woman singing it looks like she's having a breakdown.

Can't bloody wait. The songs are always ridiculous but the show overall, the past few years especially, has been a fantastic production. I look forward to seeing what they've done this year!

Re: Eurovision

I'm interested to see how the Ukraine does it. Sweden always seems to host it better than anyone else - with last year being the best yet - so I'm not seeing them living up to the standard. We'll see!

Re: Eurovision

I think the Scandinavian countries take it the most seriously whilst at the same time having the most money to put towards hosting it. I don't quite know the politics of it, I assume the host foots most of the bill but from what I've seen the actual production team in charge of it stays pretty much the same from year to year, so I don't know how the responsibilities are shared between the EBU and the hosts.

You mean our own competition? I don't have time to set one up. You're welcome to though if you'd like emoticon
