emoticon That must be a mistake. I think that is my first time playing any betting game on KH and not being in dead-last! emoticon

If I wasn't so excited about this, I would remark on how the first four players are all spaced four points apart emoticon

Re: Formula 1, anyone?

Here's my preview of each team and their car for the 2019 season:

Mercedes - Once more, the German manufacturer are the team to beat. Lewis Hamilton and Valtteri Bottas are teammates for a third successive season. I'm really digging the look of this year's car, the W10. Its livery reminds me a little bit of their 2010 car, the W01.

Ferrari - Sebastian Vettel has a new teammate at the Italian team this year in the form of Charles Leclerc, who impressed in his rookie season last year at Sauber. The livery of the SF90 looks like it has a matte finish with a bit of black alongside the usual red.

Red Bull - Max Verstappen is joined by Pierre Gasly for the Milton Keynes-based squad's first season with Honda power. Like last year, they launch the RB15 with a one-off livery before reverting to their usual look.

Renault - Nico Hulkenberg remains with the French manufacturer for a third season, where Carlos Sainz has left to make way for ex-Red Bull driver Daniel Ricciardo. In terms of the RS19's livery, it's only a slight tweak, which is fine.

Haas - For the American team's fourth season, Romain Grosjean and Kevin Magnussen remain as teammates for a third year and Rich Energy joins as title sponsor. Their 2019 car, the VF19, has a really nice black and gold livery that is reminiscent of the iconic JPS-sponsored Lotus cars from the 70's and 80's.

McLaren - A new line-up at the Woking-based squad for its second season with Renault power as Lando Norris makes his F1 debut, where he is joined by former Renault driver Carlos Sainz. The livery of the MCL34 is an improvement with a bit more blue alongside the usual shade of orange. Nice to see some new sponsors in the form of Estrella Galicia and Huski Chocolate, but I feel there's still room on the car for more.

Racing Point - A change of ownership took place during last season for the Silverstone-based team formerly known as Force India. Sergio Perez remains there for a sixth season and has a new teammate in the form of ex-Williams driver Lance Stroll. The RP19's livery is still mainly pink due to BWT continuing their sponsorship, but there's now a bit of blue from new sponsor SportPesa.

Alfa Romeo Racing - A mix of experience and youth at the Swiss squad formerly known as Sauber. 2007 champion Kimi Raikkonen returns to the team he started his F1 career with back in 2001, and he is joined by Antonio Giovinazzi, who took part in the first two races of the 2017 season where he was sitting in for Pascal Wehrlein. This year's car, the C38, is using a similar colour scheme, and have new sponsors in the form of Adler Pelzer Group and Singha. One nice little touch on the livery is the words "Sauber Engineering", so at least the old name of the team hasn't entirely disappeared.

Toro Rosso - Russia's Daniil Kyvat returns to Red Bull's sister team after spending last year as a development driver at Ferrari, while Alexander Albon joins as his new teammate. It is the squad's second year with Honda power. The livery hasn't changed for this year's car, the STR14, which isn't surprising.

Williams - Rokit taking over from Martini as title sponsor means a new livery for the Grove-based squad's 2019 car, the FW42. It's mainly blue with a bit of white, which looks okay at best. 2018 F2 champion and Mercedes junior, George Russell joins the team for his rookie year, while Poland's Robert Kubica returns to the grid for his first full season of racing since 2010. Last season was a disaster, so they have to do much better.

Re: Formula 1, anyone?

A month to season start, time to set up the Game again.

For minimum participation (as usual), choose three drivers from different teams from the list below.

To more profoundly participate each sub-game, here are the instructions:

For Active Game you may choose any one or more drivers (minimum of two is recommended unless you'll be changing during season). You may make a new choice at any time of season. (Basically idea is for players to pick a driver before each GP, but only couple players play that actively.)

In Passive Game players choose the mentioned three drivers from different teams to alternate through season; nothing more in that.

For Team Game you choose three teams similarly to three drivers of Passive Game, them altering through season. However you're also allowed to choose more than three teams (and it would be appreciated to pick a fourth to make the game more interesting).
Note that Team Game has different scoring, only GP winning team gains you points.

F1 teams and drivers 2019

(last year result)
XXXX=world championship years (...=further championships pre-1997) (D= Drivers' only/T=Team only)

(5) Valtteri Bottas

(2) Ferrari 2008T,2007,2004,2003,2002,2001,2000,1999T...

(7)(as Force India) Racing Point

(8) Sergio Pérez

(8)(as Sauber) Alfa Romeo ...

(3)* Kimi Räikkönen 2007
(-) Antonio Giovinazzi

(9) Toro Rosso

(-) Daniil Kvyat
(-) Alexander Albon

(10) Williams 1997...

(-) Robert Kubica
(-) George Russell

(Note that Racing Point/Force India would've been 5th without mid-season change of ownership making some points excluded - and thus Haas and McLaren 6th and 7th.

Name "Racing Point" may yet be changed before season start.)

Additionally there's again the separate Season Start Game where you take a guess to 14 questions about the season.

Just a week to go, hurry up and join the game!

Just pick three drivers from different teams and you're covered for whole season - and likely much longer with my "eternal participation rule".

Actually, due that Dan, Codex and rsmcc are in one or more games, but new choices are still appreciated.

Come on Messup, you at least play!
