ANW Junior The newest American Ninja Warrior spinoff (which is essentially a copy of the already-repetitive course for Ninja vs. Ninja) has kids aged nine through 14 racing through the course!:
The only thing I applaud in that trailer is the Devil Steps throwback idea.
Still, I would've loved to have competed, if only I was a year younger
Re: ANW Junior I think it might also be uploaded (a shorter version) on Universal Kids' Instagram? If not, I can try uploading it to my YouTube account just for your view (and then delete it to be fair to them).
Re: ANW Junior Oh yeah, forgot to say what I thought about this!
I was actually pleasantly-surprised by a lot. For example, all of the competitors' stories directly tied-in with ninja, for a change I'm pretty sure this was only done to try to show how dedicated to the show all of these kids are, but as long as they do it anyway, I'm happy! I was worried about inflated egos and such, but everyone seemed very kind and down-to-earth
The new interview lady was a good fit for the kids, she can replace Kristine as well! Seemed much warmer (though I haven't seen her in-person, as I have Kristine!).
One drawback is that this will be a 16-episode series with the same obstacles EVERY WEEK Categorizing easier/harder obstacles by age-group was actually really smart, but it means we've already seen it all (at least, I suspect we have...) in ep 1 Honestly, they should've just had the fifth obstacle swap between the six possibilites for exchangeable obstacles each week - some might be hard for the younger kids, but they'd still only be competing against their age.
Format is hard to follow.
Also confused because I feel like everything from both trailers for the whole series was in this one episode
The kids were nice lol. I really resonate with the child who was talking about his course being a piece of $/&! because mine is too lol. Mine is just two pairs of long nails sticking out from a short tree lol. I am good at the Salmon ladder itself, however.
Re: ANW Junior I agree! I was really surprised, but the kids were far more reserved and polite than some adult competitors. And yeah, I loved the kid mocking his Dad and his crooked Salmon Ladder

Lol, at least you have a Salmon Ladder! All I can really do to practice for it is pull-ups, push-ups and kips
Re: ANW Junior This series does begin to grate on me lol. I liked it, but the show is way too similar. None of the obstacles are interesting any more, because they are there everytime - except for the Spin Cycle but thats a cool obstacle lol.
The personality of the show is great, but it is bad week in week out.
