I’m sure I read that they said we wouldn’t see any game more than three or four times this series.

What a load of crap that is.
Some of the games have been in almost every episode.

Yeah I read that too. I reckon they said it to get more fans of the original series interested again.

The Tipping Point set is currently at Bottle Yard Studios (the same location for The Crystal Maze), and the exact location for the set is the studio where the Crystal Dome used to be in.

Deal or No Deal moved there for its final couple of years, I guess the original paint factory building was no longer safe after several bouts of flooding, one of which was shown on screen, remember.

Tipping Point seems like a show that should've been made 10 years ago - crazy to me that enough people watch it weekly to continue with new episodes. I'm too busy with the coin-pushers at the arcade emoticon

Re: Making of Crystal Maze

I've done the live experience in Manchester and I've spoken to people who have done the original London one, I imagine that they've built a new venue to work similar to the Manchester maze.

The original London maze worked like the TV show, there were four zones all connected and the dome in the middle. 4 teams played at a time, each one in a different time zone so they weren't bumping into each other, then all 4 go to the dome and each take a turn. That means only 4 teams can play at a time.

The Manchester maze is set up differently, there is a fixed route through the time zones, and each zone is split into 2 sections. There are about 6 games in each section so there's still some running back and forth. Each section has a team of people in, so you can have 8 teams in the maze at any one time, plus a team in the dome. 9 teams in total. You don't need to be a maths expert to work out why they might be spending all that money on a new venue if they can get twice the number of people through the door as the old place.

Anyone else from the UK on here done the live experience?

You did the Experience and never said anything about it on here? emoticon

Opening that London one makes a lot of sense intristically (is that a word? emoticon), but it's crazy how they've suddenly start popping-up all over the place in the last couple of years!

I was in London a couple of years ago and found where Crystal Maze was. I just went into the reception for enquiries, at the time they were sold out for the next 7 months at the time!!

Well then, there must be a BIIIIIG demand for it. That much is a bit surprising to me, but then that explains why they're opening all of the new ones!
