Re: Making of Crystal Maze
In the opening titles there was a shot of the contestants running out of the waterfall cave, which would of been the traditional way of getting into Aztec. Still doesn't answer the question why they ran through the Tipping Point set but it proves they filmed the traditional transition too!

Re: Making of Crystal Maze
I always look away in the opening titles because I like the games they play to be a surprise. I used to do that with TC as well I'd walk out the room when he said what games they were going to play so they were a surprise.

I used to do that stuff too, but now I just get impatient and get all obstacle/game info I can before the episode airs
I don't understand the Tipping Point set thing. Can someone tell me what it was?

They basically ran through the set of tipping point when they were running between zones. Tipping point is a daytime quiz show centred around and arcade machine hosted by Ben Shepard who also hosts ninja warrior UK. It was all planned - Ben asked a question that was: 'who was the first maze master on crystal maze' or something like that, the contestant answered correctly but then said 'I don't know why they remade it though' and then they ran through. It was all staged and pretty weird.

That's so strange. Kind of seems like something I'd have a dream about

Re: Making of Crystal Maze
They went through the waterfall this week, at last.
And someone’s wig fell off.

I love Richard's reactions to prizes when he reads them off the auto cue!
Series is finished for now, Christmas Special to follow. Brand new board game released in the autumn, I've still got the original one

Re: Making of Crystal Maze
I’m sure I read that they said we wouldn’t see any game more than three or four times this series.
What a load of crap that is.
Some of the games have been in almost every episode.
