I don't know what you want me to say. I don't agree with you're theory that the songs were composed for the show and your claim that I didn't discover any BGMs first is not correct.

Yeah, why would only 12 songs be generic production music when practically every piece of music on the show is licensed? It's obvious that the missing ones are licensed, too.

I don't think there's a point in discussing the whole "who did it first" topic. I admit it was my error to go off on that tangent.

Your belief that the other BGM are all from other, different sources is also a theory. Agree to disagree, remember? emoticon

Edit: Ninja'd. If all the others are licensed, find them. It seems some of you have been harping on about this general topic for a decade and a half which should have been ample time. And responding to jose, instead of writing off all young people as lazy and riding the usual high horse of older generations, why haven't you found them yet?

Hypothetically speaking it would probably take around 729 days to listen to every anime soundtrack! I'm waitin'. emoticon

There are far more than 729 Anime soundtrakcs in existence. A lot of them are not cheap or easy to find. Besides the show used music from all sorts of Genres.

You want to know why I haven't found them yet? Because I'm one man. It is extremely difficult, Time Consuming and Expensive to find BGMs. It requires a lot of patience and hard work (Something you clearly have no concept of). I haven't found them yet because of people like you going "DUH... I LOOKED ON THE GOOGLE AND IT'S NOT THERE SO THERE'S NO POINT IN EVEN LISTENING." So unless you know one of the main 12 BGMs I suggest you not make claims about something you know nothing about.

Re: BGM: Maybe the others 'don't exist'

I said days, not the number of soundtracks. It was a rough estimation from a very large number of soundtracks and you'd have to spend the entirety of those days listening to the music. Indeed, there are more genres. I listed anime as one of them to show the sheer scale of such a search. Arcade game music from the '80s is quite easy to recognise and the remaining tracks aren't chiptune.

Now calm your tits. I spend a lot of time on passion projects I don't make a penny from. I know what time-consuming and difficult hobbyist work is about.

You're right about one thing though: I couldn't care less about discovering these tracks because my theory—as discussed extensively—is that they're original compositions. I spend time on the attainable. If that and my theory pisses you off, deal with it.

Does any of them sound similar to something else you heard? I want to try and find the remaining 12 at all. I think Indestruct-a-Ball sounds like an arranged version of some game or something.

My resolution (because I can resolve all, obv emoticon ):

I know that josechung knows what he's talking about. I completely believe (and know!) that he found all of the BGMs he listed. There've been many times when someone's "discovered" something on Wikipedia and it turns out to be a direct copy of Jose's work. Just wanted to add one more voice to the train of support for josechung.

I do understand where you're coming from, BlueMantis (mainly because I'd never have the patience to find all of those BGMs emoticon ), but josechung really has set his mind (and possibly his wallet) to finding the tunes from each game.

I'll also be with josechung on his opinion that all of the songs were licensed from somewhere - agree that it'd be strange if just a few weren't licensed. Plus, some BGM discoveries have happened fairly recently, so there's no real reason to speculate that all 12 of these are inherently different/separated from the others anyway!

I think a lot of people around here do projects that require much time and planning, and I always love seeing them emoticon

Okay, that's cool with me. We've all got to do our bit. At any rate, you can close/lock/delete/orbital strike (whatever your mod superpowers allow) as this topic has been discussed to death.

Haha, I'll keep it open (in case anyone else wants to add any findings about the remaining 12 BGMs), but would definitely keep it to the subject of new BGMs.

Runboard doesn't have strikes, so don't worry about that emoticon
