Indeed its exciting Dan =), try when you can and let me know your thoughts, as you know its very early state and I have to work on interfaces graphics and other stuff so there you will see some things off place and placeholder graphics here or there, as said Im open to any suggestion on how its going.

Remember that you can only try by clicking in Minigames and then on the first game. Clicking on other places leads to nowhere at the moment, but you can see all 110 games listed there, it took me some time to arrange then in the right position but graphics in them are placeholders now.

Hmm... the files can only be opened on devices containing the Windows Browser (e.g. not my Chromebook), so I'm not currently able to view emoticon emoticon emoticon

Is this the game's final destination, or will it later be available somewhere else? I wanna play... emoticon

I see, well I have always exported into windows exe format but Unity can deploy into many different formats, say like android, iOs Mac, Linux etc however I havent found yet if its able to export into Chrome OS, I think there was a webplayer available for Unity exported files so theoritically if I deploy into webplayer format you could open it with Google Chrome browser after installing the unity webplayer... well theoritically at least. I will export this into webplayer format and see if it can work for you Messup, will update you as soon as I have the other version ready and uploaded to web server (i think webplayer games require to be loaded into a server like flash games you know)

As for destinated platforms I dont have a prefered one so if we manage to make it work in the above mentioned webformat then it will be available in web format and windows too, other formats if I manage to make them work (dont know if they require specific things in functions and other inner stuff)

Well it was easy to export into webplayer, a matter of 2 clicks, and the file is a lot more compact in size, however its strange that it takes long time to load locally, so I guess it compresses internally the file a lot to save space in server. Anyway, as I think it will load faster I send here the file, you have to decompress and open the html file with your browser, it will say you dont have unity web player (if you dont have it) then click on install the unity web player, in the next page it will display the options available, here for me it only displays pc windows version but it should allow other versions to you, download it, install and then you can load this in your browser, or at least i hope so. Unity web player is not being updated, dont know why they decided to drop this format, but it still works of course, so I hope it works for you Messup

PS If you manage to install and run the web player keep in mind that it takes a lot to load, so leave it open for a while and it will load, as said its apparently decompressing a huge zip file internally. By the way if this doesnt work in your browser you can try other browsers too, unity webplayer is available in different browsers like opera firefox chrome explorer etc

Messup I still dont know if the web version worked for you, when you have a moment tell me if so to make future releases in that version or in both I dont know what people will be playing.

Well I have a new update, the only game so far is taking shape, now we can fall into water and fail, we cant win yet (sorry) but... can you cross jumping the stones without touching the water? the stones are not sinking yet, I want to be sure first about the possibility to cross with solid stones, because I still feel the jump is a bit hard, maybe it requires either bigger stones or a little control on air, you tell me your thoughts, if you fail you can retry, if you fail many times then there is something wrong here.

The same way as before you go to Minigames and then click in the very first one, use arrow keys to move and mouse to look around, left mouse button to run and right one to jump but help is in the game too so I dont need to explain this any more emoticon.

Well you tell me how you see this although I know it still needs many things to be added just talking about this specific game, of course the overal Game needs the rest of the 109 games and the campaign mode etc

That is one high mountain to run over, I didn't know where I was supposed to be going first of all haha.

I managed to get on the first stone after a few attempts, but couldn't get across to the next. But this could just be me being useless!

Maybe double the number of stones so that there's far less of a gap to jump? In real life they were pretty close together. It should be mainly the sinking stones that get you, not the jumping from one to another.

Although it goes without saying, I know nothing about game making so I don't want to treat on your toes - you're the expert, I'm the clueless one!

Also, I got to the other side by running around the lake emoticon

Looks awesome though!!

Re: What would you think about a 3d game?

Thanks a lot for your comments Dan =), I have a hard time jumping from one stone to the other I agree in that, my aim is that everyone can play this game not only hardcore players, I think the trick is to make the stones bigger maybe (I will try and we will see), also I will have a look at how many stones they have in the real version of this game, I want to get as close to it as possible, and yeah the mountain is too big I was feeling that haha, I will change it with all the mentioned facts so that its better and show you later hopefully today or tomorrow at the most, these changes are not very time consuming, just I want to see if I add winning conditions and few other effects to consider it only needs tweaking to be seen as finished.

Dan, your feedback helps me greatly, so dont worry, Im the one thanking you, and never feel like you are spotting things that dont need to be changed, as said I will change or fix the things you mentioned =).

By the way, Im glad you could get to the finish going around the lake emoticon , when I started to build this (a few days ago you know), player started to fly when going through that walkable area emoticon , I discovered then that Unity has like 3 ways of moving things in the game and I dont know why are the other 2 needed if they make things fly away so easily haha, so if this is working then its another good point =), of course General Tani wont allow that in the finished game emoticon .

By the way, anyone have a top down screenshot of the stones placement from the real game? I have seen mostly shots from one side of the lake but I think I never saw a top down view (maybe I missed that episode or they edited it here). I remember Takeshi's built a miniature shown in one episode like to explain the games, that was great but of course it has less stones than real game.

Josechung, thanks for your interest =), I will try to capture it as soon as its more fixed, currently its very short and as Dan said the jump or the stones need to be tweaked, so maybe in a couple of days I can capture it, if anyone wants to do that however feel free to do so, Im just not too good capturing so I prefer to capture when one game is more or less finished and fully playable without being a hardcore player.

I don't think there was ever an overhead shot unfortunately. This isn't the best image, but you can see them all from this angle:

Image

25 stones in total. They're positioned close enough to be able to step over to the next closest stone (a wide step).

I don't want to make even more work (honestly!) but I was thinking - how about making the pipes the same as the one from the Show Down in the show? So you come out of the same orange hole in he ground as they do in the Show Down, and maybe have the same but coloured green on the other side of the game as your goal to leap into?
