Re: Keshi Heads TV: Brainstorming Ideas
If we farm everything out would it really be “ours”?
But it is a good idea to get some help.
Well, if you’re up for filming then let me know and I’ll tell you what’s needed!
You still need a second person to actually film you (or you film them) and about 80p to spend, if you remember the discussion about this idea before.

The footage would But yeah, we could try our hand at editing and then have that as a plan B.
It was a good thought as it kind of pushes us to get started and not worry as much about the editing stage.
I'm up for some filming, let me know when. I know it sounds primitive but do I need a person filming me? I ask because when I filmed my videos before I always used a weight to prop-up my phone, rather than having a person actually hold the phone. Maybe I'll be able to get my sister to help anyway
And just in case anyone is as confused as I was last time: 80p=$1.32, not $107.10

Fixed shots won’t work for most of it, as you’ll need to move around so the camera’s going to have to follow you. If the shots are too wide we won’t be able to see what you’re doing!

Re: Keshi Heads TV: Brainstorming Ideas
Okay yeah, I was just wondering whether I'd be moving around or sitting at a table!
If you can tell me what I'll be doing, I can see about it being filmed.

Re: Keshi Heads TV: Brainstorming Ideas
80 WHOLE pence?!
Sorry, wanted to try the big font
Yeah, I was wondering if I could ask for a bit more info about what you'd like from us too, as it'll help me decide who to ask to help . Does the camera person just have to hold the camera or do they have to say anything too? Also how long d'you think it will take to film? Is it something we could do over a lunch break or should I set aside more time? Any particular things you want filmed in a particular way? (For example, would you like an introduction and a bit of explanation of the task or should we just have a go at it and fall over a bit? ). Also, how much space do you think we'll need? Could we do it inside? Are we going to need to be somewhere where we can approach passersby and ask them stuff?
Sorry, that's quite a lot of questions . I guess it might be best to PM about it, so you don't have to give the game away if you don't want to . But yeah, you've got me intrigued, it sounds like fun .
I'm currently sharing a house with a couple of relatives of Monkeee's, thought I might see if they'd help out .

Re: Keshi Heads TV: Brainstorming Ideas
I’m overestimating at 80p, don’t worry.
The camera person just has to film you. They don’t need to talk or appear in it at all. They’re literally only need to film you!
You’d need more time than a lunch break for all four challenges, but you could always film one a day or something if that works. Although the length of time you take for certain tasks is down to you. If they don’t have a time limit then you can take as much or as little time as you want.
Before starting the task you’d read it out (ideally you shouldn’t know what it is beforehand. I’ll provide a link to each task separately and you’d open it on your phone or whatever while recording. Of course you could cheat but that ruins the fun a bit).
Again space depends on what you do and how you interpreted the task! You can film anywhere, but at least one might be worth going outside for. Although we’re not in a great time of year for that now...
Nope, no need to talk to any passers by haha.
If anyone has any other questions let me know!

Re: Keshi Heads TV: Brainstorming Ideas
The camera person is welcome to do that if they like
I forgot to say that they’d also have to keep an eye on the time, to act as referee to stop you when the time limit is up on timed tasks. But again that doesn’t have to involve speaking or being on camera if they don’t want!
If this actullay worked out well enough to do more, I’d buy any items needed myself and send them out in packages to the players. You could open a box to reveal each task!

Quote: If you're struggling to find someone to hold the camera Messup, might it be worth maybe having a go at filming it like they did the Crystal Maze? Get one long continuous shot of you doing the thing, then after you've finished go back and re-take some close-up shots of key moments and edit them together. I guess it depends what the task is, though.
Good thought! I could, but as you said, it won't work with all tasks (unless I spend a whole 160 pence on extras ). Plus it might work better completely pure with no editing-tricks?

You're so nice to us! But seriously: WHAT DO WE NEED TO BUY FOR THE FIRST ONE?

Well I didn’t want to ruin it, but then you’re not going to know what they’re for, so: a single packet of Wotsits (or Cheetos for you in America), and a plastic bag - the thin ones you get at checkouts in supermarkets. We have to pay 5p for them now in the UK
