Re: Video Games I don't know, Snatcher is one of the few games I quit. Can't quite remember what caused a break in playing and I couldn't get back into it as I hadn't made notes.
I will play it eventually, any year now...
My Sega CD favorites: Wing Commander, Monkey Island (if you've never played any other version), Shining Force CD, Vay (better than either Lunar IMO), Mansion of Hidden Souls, Panic!, Space Adventure Cobra (somewhat like Snatcher)
Re: Video Games The only part that was really annoying was shooting those Insectors because they jump all around the screen. You can practice at the shooting range at Junker HQ all you want, but when it comes to shooting those, you just shoot all over the place.
Also, I emulated it because $600+ for a physical copy? Nah... I'm way too cheap for that!
I got that SNES mini months ago, and still haven’t played on it more than twice.
This is why I shouldn’t waste my money on games.
I never had (or have) a reason to get one. I already own most of the expensive games on it (Earthbound, Final Fantasy III/VI, Super Mario RPG) and the classic games (Super Mario World, Legend of Zelda LttP, Castlevania IV, and a few others.)
The ones I don't have and actually would like to get (Secret of Mana, Contra III) are still affordable enough.
I even have one of the games on the Japanese Super Famicom Mini (Ganbare Goemon/Legend of the Mystical Ninja.)
Same with the NES Mini. I own some form of all but about 4 games that are on it.
Re: Video Games Wow, this hasn't been posted in for a while...
Anyway, about a month ago, I purchased a Famicom Disk System from someone for $15 as-is. Normally they cost about twice that much (not including the shipping from Japan.)
It didn't include the RAM adapter that basically makes it work, nor did it have any games. So I bought a RAM adapter and a disk game that wasn't released on cartridge at all (Nazo no Murasame-jou) from an eBay user from Canada.
Then the problem of buying as-is hardware rears its head: the disk didn't read and gives me Error 22 (probably the most common error for the system.) Thankfully, the seller I bought the extra stuff from repairs the drives themselves, so the drive takes a week vacation to Canada to be calibrated, cleaned, and receive a new drive belt.
So by Wednesday or Thursday, I should be able to play a game I've had for a week that I couldn't play.
Re: Video Games Sonic Mania Plus and F1 2018 are the releases on my radar next. Excited by the Brawn being one of the classic cars this year, it should handle miles better on PS4 than it did on Wii. Interesting to see Mighty and Ray in Sonic Mania Plus, especially since they are going with the SegaSonic canon of Mighty and Ray being buddies. Some people will not know who either of them are, in a "Marth in Smash Bros" way. Ray has not been seen before outside of Japan to my knowledge, while I'm used to seeing Mighty as a member of Chaotix from STC's canon.
