I've yet to watch this week's episode, but in the trailer at the end of last week' she they showed them having to drink stuff. Is it regular foods again, or are they actually going back to Fear Factor proper and having bugs or other rank stuff?

But I can confirm that the series is 12 episodes long and looks like a second one is possibly happening.

I watched it last night. It was all regular foods again, although mixtures that really did look disgusting.
And real explosions this time too, not CGI ones. There goes the budget.

I’ve been watching the second season as it’s being shown over here a couple of weeks behind America.
The editing is a lot better this time, which makes it feel more like original Fear Factor, but the stunts still aren’t anywhere near the level they were. Some still fall completely flat.
On the last episode one ‘stunt’ was getting out of bed, walking over a slippery floor, getting dressed then walking over Lego and “broken glass” which looked more like smooth glass tiles. This is not Fear Factor.
I’m hoping it gets a third season and finally gets back to what it should be.

Sounds like it might be 1/3 of the way from where it was last year, but still desperately needs improvement. To be honest, I feel like MTV will let it stick-around awhile.

To be honest, that sounds like one of the stunts from the Psycho Fear Factor episode where they had the blood shower that they had to turn-off and then run around the bed room trying to find a key or something. Although that was when they entered the territory of having too many specials and I didn't love the show anyway

Well the Psycho one still played on fear. And having to stand in a shower of blood is mentally horrible. Walking over some slime and Lego is not.

Wait, that was actual blood?!  I watched that one with my Grandma a few years ago and she said it was probably just some kind of red dye or fruit-punch (although looking back, she might've just been trying to not scare me!). If so, then yeah that is disgusting and very uncomfortable to even consider 
I guess what I was getting at was that they've had challenges with several different "stages" before. But now that I hear how cheesey taht stunt sounds, I agree that they need to give it more of a scare-factor!

Yes it was blood  They use the real things on Fear Factor. Although obviously not human blood. It’ll be pig or cow I’m guessing.
Don’t really want to know!
