You mean, here it is (emoticon):

They really have just rebuilt the original sets for all but Futuristic and the boring-looking Dome area. I don't know if that's dissapointing or encouraging.

Here's a photo in Aztec. The first episode airs in two weeks!

Hey, I wanted to repost Industrial in case someone missed it the first time emoticon Seriously though, thanks for fixing my mistake!

Anyway, the Medieval Zone actually looks different, doesn't it? Aztec looks a bit different too.

Nah, they're all exactly the same. Same layout and everything. I watched an old episode on Challenge on Friday to compare, and it's definitely the same.

So much the same, that they've even rebuilt that fake door in Aztec that I happened to notice when I was watching on Friday - the one furthest in the background in that picture above. It's not used, and it can't go anywhere as Futuristic is right behind it. Unless it's for cameramen.

Promo for the celebrity episode:

I've always wondered about that mystery door in Aztec!

According to the digital map, you could get to the Dome easily from the Aztec zone using that door, although in the show they ran down the jungle path area (which goes back to the river where they row to get in to the zone)

Really like what I see in the trailer, really excited now!

We also have two new characters: Jessica Hynes as a Medieval knight, and Jarman! http://www.radiotimes.com/news/2017-06-12/adam-buxton-and-jessica-hynes-join-richard-ayoade-in-channel-4s-crystal-maze-reboot

Re: Making of Crystal Maze

So, overall, it was a lot better than I was expecting. I will watch again next week, so that's the best praise I can give it emoticon

BUT! The zones clearly aren't connected anymore. Why!? It's the Crystal MAZE, not the Crystal Four Standalone Zones.
They seem to have built the ways to get from one zone to another but didn't use them. Although they're not real. During the first game they're next to the tunnel that's supposed to lead to Aztec, but you can see the other end of it. It's only like a metre or two long and goes nowhere. Ruined the whole epicness of the original huge interconnecting set right there.

The Dome is so unimpressive too. It looks really small, and like it is literally sat in the middle of a TV studio. That goes against the whole feel the show is supposed to have. emoticon

The host was faaaar less annoying than I expected. And he seemed to be as irritated with Louis Spence as everyone else, which was amusing. emoticon

If you've not seen it, here's the full episode to decide for yourself:

I too was disappointed with no zone transitions. You see them in Industrial running up the stairs leading to Medieval, after the break they come out out the Aztec tunnel!!

The people of Twitter rejoiced when LS got locked in (me included!)

I like Richard's golden hand and his "You'll look different in the next shot, it's called editing"!!

The games were all great, proper old school Crystal Maze.

Now I know what to expect from this new series, I'll look forward to the next episode even more so.

New puzzle book out in October

I thought that was really good!

As Dan said, the games felt right and they also worked very similarly, for the most part. Guessing the knight game is going to replace Mumsey and her house? Sad if so, but I did enjoy the puzzle the knight provided! Is the knight a girl though? emoticon Still have to see Jarman! I didn't notice the Maze being disconnected but I probably will and be really annoyed by it soon emoticon

The host was good and I liked the majority of the competitors. Most of the jokes were just right too!

I do think the average amount of games per episode should be 12. Asking to see three games per zone is beyond reasonable, but we fell short by two this week, I believe. The first zone had some fooling around in it beforehand and having to climb the gate, but the untimed Medieval game hurt matters even more than that. I liked that game, but it should have a three-minute timer stuck on it. Speaking of giving people three minutes, it felt to me like almost all games provided competitors three minutes when they didn't usually need it (with the crossing the mushrooms game especially), another reason why we didn't get our fair share of games.

Still was really enjoyable to watch tho. They're not all Celebrity right?

A Crystal Maze puzzle book?! Sounds interesting, would guess you have to solve different riddles and puzzles to find crystals emoticon
