Re: New Fear Factor
Personally, it was a basic stunt and this is (the first season of..?) a revival show so that's acceptable.
I'd be afraid to drink those. It goes hand-in-hand with some of the gross stuff from the old show, which I won't mention for miamigirl's sake
It was certainly more entertaining than the snake stunt!
Haven't watched episode 3 yet but will definitely soon!

Gee, that is a relief. I thought they were doing a drunk game thing. I am more impressed.

Re: New Fear Factor
This week's episode was hit and miss.
The first stunt was okay. Slightly more Fear Factor-y, although we've seen this kind of thing multiple times on multiple shows so it was still kinda meh.
The second 'stunt' was rubbish. A fear of trusting someone!? What? This isn't Fear Factor. And what exactly was the point anyway? They were all going to have to pick some cheese off the mousetraps as there wasn't enough laying on the table to make it worthwhile avoiding them.
Last stunt was okay. But yeah, not impressed with this version. Next week looks even worse - drowning your phone. OH NO...

Re: New Fear Factor
I haven't seen three yet. Was the fear of trusting someone for the mousetrap game? Are they blindfolded and try to avoid mousetraps?

Re: New Fear Factor
Was the snake in the first round that players kept in their mouth fed mold?
I read a story on the internet about some mysterious mold being discovered that was enthusiastically eaten by livestock. I have mold in the window grout of my kitchen. Maybe livestock can eat it?

Pretty much. They had to pick up as much cheese as they could, and there were some pieces that weren't in any traps. If the person guiding their partner didn't try and get them to pick up any cheese that wasn't on a trap they'd win $1000. But it was all a bit pointless.

Re: New Fear Factor
Have you seen the recent episode? Miamigirl evidently has!
The lock game was pretty good. Would rather it be second following tradition, but hey it's a remake. The first woman handled it well.. The snake that may or may not have consumed mold would be far better than the roach in your mouth
The second event was one I would not attempt! I could hold my breath out-of-water for two minutes but underwater I can't hold it for over five seconds for my life!! Still good to watch but felt bad for the guy who had a near-death experience previously. Shame he lost his phone!! See Dan, dropping the phones weren't the main point of the game they just made it seem that way for some strange reason
I dunno about the final Challenge, but that I'd do it before the others in a heart-beat.
6(.5?)/10

Re: New Fear Factor
These stunts are always such a let down compared to the original version(s). I've seen scarier things on other shows. This is Fear Factor. It's meant to be the scariest TV show of them all. This new version isn't. At all.
I'm not saying it's easy to do, I still wouldn't want to do half the stuff, but it's far from what Fear Factor is supposed to be.
The car carrier thing at the end wasn't scary in the slightest

Re: New Fear Factor
Very glad to see they acknowledged the Fourth of July and took the week off.
Just saw the one before that with different relationship statuses on Wednesday. It was kinda cool that they did everything from married couples to blind-daters.
The first challenge isn't something I'd call scary but it was decent and you could tell the girls didn't like the different creature crawling on their face!
The next challenge is probably too lame for pro-survivalist Dan but I personally enjoyed it. I liked that it seemed like a proper second challenge from the old days of Fear Factor, especially with launching chips into the machine to decide what you have to consume. And we already how bad sürstromming is We didn't see it used so we can't know, but I feel like the chip would've gone right through the rubber-stamp blocker for the team that earned it. Maybe it's bounce it back but I'm not sure it would.
The final challenge was at least decent and fairly high-stakes. It felt more like an opening challenge with it being a helicopter over water and having to collect flags though. I thought the selfie was a bit of an unnecessary touch but maybe it was so you didn't grab the last few flags while falling or something.
There's no stunt in this episode that I'd refuse to do (especially because, since I'm not a woman I'd not have to do much in the first round ), but it was solid enough IMO.
