Re: Yaguchi Hitori Collection I'm not entirely sure what Haruki was going on about, but it seems like he wants a new series too. Which is obviously great... but this was over eight months ago now and nothing has happened since
Re: Yaguchi Hitori Collection Mari had her own episode of a gameshow this week
The player has to walk to a destination and gets 1 yen for every step they take. Any money they spend on the journey (food, transport, hotels) gets deducted from the total at the end, and they win the remaining amount of money.
Mari wants to visit Yuko as she hasn't met her new baby yet. Yuko is in Fukuoka while Mari's journey begins at TV Tokyo - in Tokyo - so she has to travel half the length of the country!!
It's really fun, all about Mari, has a silly helmet AND is narrated by what looks like a giant extending poo. What more could you want!?
She always seems to gets really embarrassed to be recognised! When she went into the restaurant and they were excited to see her it was funny. And then she goes and gets drunk on a load of sake. Classic Mari
And that old woman who was like 'I'm sure I recognise you' lol.
Then losing half the crew and the helmet on the train
I really enjoyed that! We need more Mari in our lives again.
Re: Yaguchi Hitori Collection Thanks for that! A bit shame that they had to mention her scandal (twice even), but delighted to see the people of Japan are actually very nice to her. The scene with Yuko is quite touching, it's good to see them together. Also she really can make every food she eats look delicious, loved her expression when she eats, I swear she has talent for culiner show. And as always, her laugh is adorable.
Good to see her again. And enjoyed your Entertainment Rescue channel too!
Re: Yaguchi Hitori Collection Simple show, but really entertaining and touching. I guess Mari has to live with that scandal for the rest of her life, but I guess it's okay-ish if people don't judge her anymore.
But I have another question: What was that huge piece of poop doing there?
Re: Yaguchi Hitori Collection Hahahaha - I really enjoyed this, thanks so much for posting it .
I liked the point I think they were trying to make, about just getting out there and re-connecting with people and getting over her fears and the past . Plus, I was really psyched to see Mari stopped in Kobe - I used to live there! . Nice to see Akashi-yaki cropping up again after the red quiz on EntScue, too .
As for the... Narrator ... I couldn't quite tell if he was supposed to be a poo or a mountain yam - 'nebaru' means to be sticky [Edit: His name tag reads 'nebaru-kun', so I guessed that was his name], and mountain yams are full of this kind of snot-like stuff that's handy for thickening sauces and so on - so it could feasibly be either, maybe? It did somewhat lighten the tone when they were talking about the scandal to hear it narrated in his voice though
